Advanced CT scan technology for fast imaging, accurate diagnosis and better care.
CT SCAN
Computed Tomography (CT) Scan is an advanced imaging technique that uses X-rays and computer technology to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. At Adhiraj Focus Imaging Center, CT scans are performed with a focus on clear imaging, patient comfort, and dependable diagnostic information. CT can provide detailed views of the brain, chest, abdomen, bones, and other areas of the body, helping doctors evaluate a wide range of conditions. It is particularly useful when quick and detailed imaging is required. Our aim is to provide high-quality CT scans to support doctors in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

CT Scan Procedure
A CT Scan (Computed Tomography Scan) is a safe, fast, and non-invasive diagnostic imaging procedure that uses X-rays and advanced computer technology to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body. It provides clearer and more detailed information than a conventional X-ray and helps radiologists evaluate various organs, tissues, bones, and blood vessels.
How the CT Scan Procedure Works
1. Patient Preparation
Before the scan, the patient may be asked to remove metal objects such as jewellery, watches, or other accessories. Depending on the type of CT scan, fasting or other preparation may be advised.
2. Positioning on the CT Scanner
The patient lies comfortably on a motorized examination table. The technologist positions the patient according to the area of the body being examined.
3. Scanning Process
The table slowly moves through the CT scanner while the X-ray tube rotates around the body. Multiple images are captured from different angles and processed by a computer to create detailed cross-sectional images.
4. Contrast-Enhanced CT, If Required
For certain examinations, a contrast agent may be administered orally or through an IV. Contrast helps make specific organs, blood vessels, and abnormal areas more clearly visible.
5. During the Scan
The patient may be asked to remain still and, in some cases, briefly hold their breath. The procedure is generally quick and painless, and the technologist monitors the patient throughout the examination.
6. Image Review & Reporting
After the scan, the images are carefully reviewed by a qualified radiologist. A detailed report is prepared based on the findings and shared with the referring doctor for further evaluation and treatment planning.
At Adhiraj Focus Imaging Center, CT imaging is performed with a focus on accurate imaging, patient comfort, and efficient reporting.
Important CT Scan Safety Information
- Inform your doctor/radiologist if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
- Tell the medical team about any previous allergic reaction to contrast dye.
- If contrast is planned, inform them about kidney problems, diabetes, or other relevant medical conditions.
- Follow the advised fasting and preparation instructions before a contrast-enhanced CT.
- Remove metal objects and jewellery from the scanning area when instructed.
- Remain still during the scan and follow breathing instructions given by the technologist.
- CT uses ionizing radiation, so the scan should be performed when medically appropriate and with the lowest reasonable radiation exposure.
- Children and pregnant patients require special consideration because radiation sensitivity can be higher.
- After a contrast scan, follow the centre’s instructions regarding fluids and post-scan observation.
Note: Contrast is not required for every CT scan. The need for contrast depends on the type of examination and the doctor’s/radiologist’s assessment.
